Our story

Hampton in Arden village to hold its first charity run in a number of years to support British Heart Foundation.

The Charity 6K (6.2KM to be precise) fun run will include a fun day, starting and finishing at the local Hampton in Arden Sports Club, Shadowbrook Lane on Sunday 20th September. From the sports club, runners will head to Barston Lake, before returning to the sports club.

The run is for people of all abilities and ages and is designed to bring the community of Hampton and beyond together, raise awareness and money for this excellent charity. If 6K isn’t enough distance, participants will be allowed to run this twice.

The British Heart Foundation has been chosen as this year’s Charity, as this is a cause close to so many of the committee’s hearts. Graham suffered a cardiac arrest in November 2025 and was saved by his family following successful CPR and now has an internal D Fib so his heart will be shocked back into normal rhythm if it happens again.

Alison’s dad also suffered a cardiac arrest and survived. Steve, Chico and Aman’s relatives sadly passed away from heart attacks or heart related disease. Everybody knows somebody affected by heart disease and the impact this can have on the individual and their family. It is for this reason we are keen and motivated to raise as much awareness of the charity and money as possible.

Register for Sunday 20th September

The route starts at Hampton In Arden Sports Club and will head to Barston Lake, before returning to the sports club.

The route is approximately 6KM (6.2KM), all participants have the option to run the route twice, to make the distance 12km.
